Meet Our COO, Jessica Seastead

A Los Angeles Attorney Shares Legal Advice On Reopening Safely!

Thursday, April 8 2021

Jessica Seastead has been with Culinary Staffing for six years, and a year and a half ago she became our COO. Thanks to her leadership and business acumen, we are expanding in 2021! We feel fortunate and wanted to share a little about her with all of you.

Jessica comes to us from both a human resources and e-commerce background, and her skills as a top-level executive have propelled CSS forward in multiple ways. We asked her a few questions so that we could share her expertise and insight into our industry.

What is the biggest thing you’ve learned over the years working for CSS?

“People are your biggest asset. Having the right people in place, fostering a collaborative and team environment, and holding one another accountable so we all can grow together.”

What motivates you the most and pushes you to succeed?

“As Bruce Lee so eloquently said, ‘Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.’ For me, it’s about being connected to everything, being able to adapt, and bouncing back after setbacks or failures. I don’t take no or it can’t be done as answers. Instead, I find another way, another connection, or an opportunity to get what we need in order to succeed, and to grow.”

What advice would you give to young people who share your career goals?

“The careers I have had in life, and also the jobs I’ve held in the past were all based on happenstance. But happenstance only favors the “prepared” mind. Learn to be more curious, flexible, optimistic, persistent, and take risks. Be ready to take advantage of opportunities that come your way.”

When Jessica isn’t leading Culinary Staffing into the future, she enjoys spending time at home with her wife and their pet goats, chickens, and other animals. (Yes, the goats in the photo below are hers!)

She has a busy schedule, but Jessica always has time for you. If you’d like to speak to her about your business and current staffing or HR needs, give her a call!
